CHECKIT: EQUIPMENT VERIFICATION
Liquid handlers (pipettes, equipment) are usually calibrated using water or dye as the test liquid. This works well for accurately dispensing aqueous solutions.
But what about other liquids?
Not all liquids have the same density, vapor pressure, or viscosity. Therefore, even if the liquid handler is calibrated, it may dispense incorrect volumes of sample liquids.
The Checkit® can be used to detect these inaccuracies and even calibrate your liquid handler for a wide variety of liquid classes. Because it measures volume directly, it is highly accurate regardless of viscosity.
Simply resuspend the liquid with our dry dye and pipette into a Checkit, lift the tab and read the volume. If there is any inaccuracy, you can compensate for it by changing the volume on your pipette.
Find all information about measuring serum/plasma, glycerol, alcohol, DMSO solutions and many more in the white paper. You will find other useful posters, papers and resources on the Checkit support page.
